"Addictions" is an interesting piece for me. I wanted to go dark with it, go
someplace I hadn't before. I believe it started with a cigarette. Not mine, as I
don't smoke, but an imagine of a man who so wanted a cigarette badly he was
willing to tell a deep, dark secret. I spun this urban fantasy, also, because of
a female friend who enjoys writing serial killers, and I was hoping to impress
her. I didn't. This was the first of three stories published in Tales of the
Talisman magazine.
This story took honors in the Without a Box, "Gimme Credit" screenplay contest and was almost made into a film by a college film club.

With them, step on in, but mind the eyeballs in the carpet. You might even find a little joy in this issue. A World of enchantment awaits. Take up the talisman and discover a world of magic!
