I tend to write screenplays as short stories first to hash out the ideas.
Then, while the script is circulating, I get the short story published.
So was the case of "The Plagiarists." I still hope to find a home for this paranormal
comedy detective series. It's been read by some big people in hopes of a buy. It also made the semi finals of the Scriptapalooza competition, but fell short in the end.

Jack Mangan introduces us to Charlie, a boy who lives on a distant colony
world where the rain has started falling with no sign of letting up. Will
Charlie be able to escape before the flood waters rise too high? Lawrence R.
Dagstine takes us to Pluto of the future where the miners have learned to make a
narcotic from the ice. Travel with Steven Canton to a world where witches and
wizards control the highrises and goblins are pests on the subway. Douglas
Empringham takes us into the world of the dead, those who tend them, and the
treasures they guard. In Part 2 of "Mind Games," Kenneth J. Crist takes us back
into his world where people use only their minds to conjure fantastic sporting
events. These and many more stories and poems await you in the summer 2007 issue
of Tales of the Talisman.
