I. Personal Updates

It’s been a rollercoaster year on the person front. Mom’s fight with breast cancer started the year off in fine form, then my diagnosis with high cholesterol and   sleep apnea, that has forced me to have a CPAP machine and a strict diet. Now, the next piece comes in the form of Dylan’s diagnosis of low level Asperger’s Syndrome. Needless to say, this has been a year for rewriting my thinking on everything.

Winding up a year of promoting my novel. This weekend finds me at the Colorado Mills Borders on Saturday from 2p-4p, then next weekend it’s a return to my hometown in Wisconsin and a book signing at the Barnes and Noble there. That’s my final stop for this year, save for World Fantasy and Mile High Con. I’m devoting the rest of the year to family and writing.

I’m taking the fall off from college, with a plan to switch schools in the spring. Not sure, but I may do CU-Denver, if nothing else opens up.

My son turns 10 in Sept. Where does the time go?

I was just asked to teach some writing workshops for the Highlands Ranch Community Association. Three gigs this year and several full 8 week workshops next year.
